Delete your data.
Your account belongs to you. You can have everything we hold about you removed at any time — by yourself from inside Practice, or by asking us. This page explains both routes and what gets deleted.
What “your data” means here.
When you sign in to Practice we store a small set of fields tied to you:
- The identity returned by your sign-in provider (Google or Facebook) — your email address, first and last name, and profile image URL.
- Your active programme and any per-programme settings you picked at sign-up (year level, exam stage, billing tier, avatar).
- Your practice history — every session you start, every question you answer, the time you took, the topics each answer maps to, the readiness signals derived from them. This is the largest slice of what we hold; it’s also what makes the product work.
- Bookmarks, notes, and items you’ve flagged for follow-up.
- Voice and audio session metadata if you used hands-free practice (length, completion, never the audio itself).
We do not sell this data. It powers the practice product, and nothing else.
Delete your account from inside Practice.
- Sign in at /login with the Google or Facebook account you originally used.
- Open your profile at /profile.
- Choose Delete my account — confirm when prompted.
The self-service control is being rolled out alongside the profile redesign. While that lands, please use the email route below — it reaches a real person.
Or ask us to delete it for you.
Email privacy@janison.com.au from the address you signed up with. Include the line:
Subject: Practice account deletion request Please delete my Practice account and all data linked to it. Email on the account: <your sign-in email>
Sending the request from the same email address that’s on the account is how we confirm it’s really you. If you can no longer access that inbox, reply with any other proof of ownership you have and we’ll work it out.
What happens after you ask.
- We acknowledge your request within two business days.
- Your account, profile records, and full practice history are deleted from production within thirty days. Most accounts are fully removed in less than a week — the longer window is to cover edge cases (mid-billing-cycle, ongoing support requests).
- Encrypted backups are retained for a further ninety days for disaster recovery, and then rolled off. Deleted records cannot be restored from those backups except where law requires.
- Aggregate analytics that don’t identify you (e.g. “questions answered per topic across all users”) may be retained for product improvement. These cannot be used to reconstruct your individual history.
- We may keep the bare minimum needed to satisfy a legal obligation (e.g. financial records of a paid subscription). Anything kept is documented in our broader privacy policy.
If you signed up via the marketing site.
ForMe (the marketing and account-management site) and Practice (this app) share a single account. A deletion request through either route removes your data from both — you only need to ask once. The same instructions live at practice.janison.ai/user-data-delete.
Practice is operated by Janison Solutions Pty Ltd. For broader privacy questions — what we collect, how we use it, who else processes it on our behalf — see our privacy policy.
